Hello, It's been a long time!

Hello! It's been a long time, blog, but I'm going to try to work my way back into a blogging routine. I missed a whole year of blogging in 2011, but I started a new job, got my MA, and was a mommy to two kids, so I was busy. I think 2012 will, hopefully, be a more manageable year to add blogging back into the mix. :)

Apple River Canyon State Park

We stopped at an IL state park on our way back to Chicago from Galena. Lydia loved tossing rocks in the stream and Emerson enjoyed the sunny warm breeze.

The beginning of the summer we took a trip to Northwest IL on the border of Iowa and WI in the Mississippi River Valley. We spent two nights at a b&b. This was our view which was so beautiful. We were also allow to bring Elly and Elmer!!! I think they had more fun than Lydia and Emerson.

We went to a neat little cave one day in Iowa.

Trip to the Petting Zoo in Lake Geneva

Lydia and Alice had a wonderful time at the petting zoo. Lydia loved feeding the animals lots of green grass, and Alice got to enjoy a pony ride! Emerson also enjoyed soaking up the sun on this lovely April day in Lake Geneva, WI.
